Family Resource & Community Outreach

What is FRACO?

• The Family Resource & Community Outreach (FRACO) Team works to link families with resources in their communities.
• FRACO interacts with CYFN and the community on various levels to meet the needs of the families.
• The Team is an integral part of the Co-Creation Program and as such, represents an important presence in San Diego Communities.

Our Vision:

Through Children, Youth and Family Network and the Family Resource and Community Outreach Team, all San Diego County youth and families with complex social and emotional needs will be able to support themselves and their families by having access to resources.

Our Mission:

To contribute to the health and well-being of CYFN's youth, families, neighborhoods and communities by building their capacity and providing opportunities for youth and families to support themselves.

The FRACO department has five functional areas:

1. Cross systems coordination and “No Wrong Door” support
2. Departmental services coordination
3. CYFN Inter-departmental communication
4. Computerized resource database and research analysis
5. Community development and identification of community based resources
